By synthesizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) maps,  selected species lists and ground photography, one can gain an understanding of the coastal land cover habitats and appreciate the value of CRSSA's on-going research activities which utilize GIS technology.

The Barnegat Bay Watershed and Estuary Habitat Tour was derived from our Data Synthesis Project for the Barnegat Bay Estuary Program. Our work with the Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve resulted in the development of the Sheepshead Meadow Habitat Tour.
