Welcome to the Landscape Change Research site at CRSSA, Rutgers University. This website will undergo updates throughout 2017 in support of CRSSA's ongoing project work.

The following CRSSA LCP sites focusing on NJ statewide change are currently available:

Changing Landscapes in the Garden State: Land Use Change in New Jersey, 1986-2012 [report, urban growth animation]
This report is part of an ongonig series of collaborative studies between Rutgers and Rowan Universities (Lathrop & Hasse) examing NJ's urban growth and land use change.

Natural Land Cover Change Animation of New Jersey: 1600 to 2050
What was the extent of New Jersey's forests and wetlands in 1600? What will it be in 2050? CRSSA researchers posed these questions and responded by producing a timeline of natural land cover change maps and a visualization of these results.
