EXERCISE 4a – Exploring the Databank

First, we need to establish contact with the network drive that hosts databank:

Open Windows Explorer (find it on the Start menu).
Go to Tools>Map Network Drive.
Map your Z: drive to \\jabba\jab1
Be sure the reconnect at login box is checked
Start ArcMap
Open the Add Data dialogue box
Use the Connect to Folder button to connect to your Z: drive

Explore a little by checking out

Z:\databank\njdep\admin\state

Add Z:\databank\njdep\hyd\coastply.

As you can see there is data here that isn't all quite the same or completely different.
